LEJADI Group’s Founder, President & CEO, Y.Bhg., Tan Sri, Datuk (Dr.) Lim Ewe Jin is also Co-founder & former Managing Director of Powertek Berhad, a pioneer Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Malaysia with its 440 MW plant located in Malacca. Under Y.Bhg., Tan Sri Lim’s leadership as Powertek’s Managing Director, Powertek within 41 months of being founded, achieved the distinction of becoming Malaysia’s first IPP and first Infrastructure Project Company (IPC), to be listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) under the Securities Commission’s latest guidelines for the listing of substantial IPCs without the customary five year profit track record. Powertek’s market capitalisation has since its public offering exercise in August 1996, consistently exceeded RM 1.0 billion (USD 413m) on average.
